Baby Gunnar is here!

For this post I just wanted to say a big Congratulations to our close, dear friends who just became parents. Jeremy, (who was best man at our wedding) and Kaylon welcomed a new baby boy last Friday May 28th! We visited with them a lot of the day on Friday and we couldn't be happier for the family. We wish them all the best of luck with their new bundle of joy!

We love you all!

Summer is here!

Since I've been on summer vacatation I have yet to be productive on our packing situation. I have watched way too much TV and have definitely caught up on my Zzz's. I have also been battling another horrible sinus infection and I have been trying to get better before the move. Steve and I have also hit the pool a few times at my moms so we can get our last "Arizona Glow" before the heat gets too extreme. The next few days we are seriously going to start packing. Since today it's supposed to be 100 degrees we figured we should start and stay inside for the day. This is one of the reasons why Steve wants to go because of the blistering heat! He can't stand it since he's used to milder summers in Seattle. I will leave you with some pictures of our past lazy summer days.

Countdown until Seattle: 14 days! 2 weeks left to pack!!

Have a great week!!

School Ends...One Chapter Closed

Last Thursday my Lulu Walker Elementary career had come to an end. I am officially done, checked out, turned in keys and packed up my classroom in Arizona. It was a very emotional couple of days with my kids and my friends from work. My students absolutely loved my end of the year present I gave them, and they had given me a great present as well....another year of learning patience with children. This year I had the gifted group of kids and they had challenged me to no end. They argued with me constantly, but in the end taught me how to cater to their challenging needs. I have learned so much at Walker and my 2 years there, and I will never forget.

Now I just hope to find another school so welcoming and caring in Seattle. Every teacher at Walker had so much to offer and offered me a wealth of knowledge. I will definitely miss them and I hope I can find another school just like it.

Last weeekend we also had our garage sale! We didn't make a whole lot of money but we were just happy to get rid of furniture and other miscellaneous items that needed to be gone and cleared out. This week is set aside to start the packing process so wish us luck that we are very organized and thoughtful during this tedious process.

I will leave you all with pictures of my last days at Walker and our garage sale from last weekend.

Happy Mother's Day!

Steve and I just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all of our wonderful Moms that we have. Between us we have several moms, stepmoms, and mom-in-laws. We just wanted to say we love you Mom (Ellice), Mom (Eileen), Abby, Toni, and Brenda. We love you guys so much and we wanted to say thank you for everything you have done for us in our lives.

Well I only have 9 days of "teachable moments" with my students and school and then we only have 32 days until our official move! We will be Seattle-ites soon enough! Next weekend we will be having a large garage sale full of old furniture and excessive trinkets to sell! If you are in the area don't feel afraid to stop by and buy some cheap items!

We will also be packing up our stuff after school has been let out for the summer, after I've packed up my classroom, and we will be cleaning up and painting the house to get ready for our renters. Hopefully our house will be rented fast!

I hope all of the Mother's have a nice and relaxing day today with all of your loved ones!

Now back to Steve and I watching Top Gun....
