This past Wednesday, the 7th, Steve and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. We were able to enjoy each other's company for the day and it was fabulous! We started out going "shopping" for each other's presents in Bellevue. I got a pair of "anniversary shoes" and Steve got a shirt (he's also thinking about getting a jacket later). Then we went to downtown Seattle so he could spend his REI gift cards from his birthday which was on the 2nd. He had so many gift cards and was able to get a lot of good loot! He was a little disappointed when they told him the winter jackets were not in stock anymore :( If you know him he's very obsessed with jackets...he probably owns 20...and don't even get me started on his jeans or shoe fetish either!! Anyways, after REI we went and enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Flying Fish. We had great beer, crab cakes, grilled salad, and fresh fish tacos...YUM!! After our dinner we went to a Mariner's Game at Safeco field. The stadium was so nice and we had some great weather for the game. The Mariners played the KC Royals and unfortunately lost 7-3..:( It is just not their year.
For the rest of the week Steve has been very busy with going on more ride-alongs with his cousin Mike's Fire Department in Auburn, and he took care of Mike yesterday after getting his wisdom teeth pulled. I've been relaxing at the house catching up on my reality TV and I've started a new book....Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult. It is really good so far!
We are also very excited for next week because we are going to Whistler, BC for Steve's birthday trip. We are going from Thursday-Sunday and it's going to be gorgeous. Last time I went it was in winter so it will be great to see how beautiful the mountains look in summertime. We plan on doing lots of hiking, biking, and zip-lining while we're there.
